Itinerary
Morning
- A shuttle bus will pick you up at your hotel between 6:30 - 7:30 AM and take you to Sapa, a mountain town built by French colonists.
- The six-hour journey along the new highway offers stunning views of the countryside, mountains, and rivers.
Noon:
- Arrive in Sapa around 1:00 PM, check into your hotel, rest, and have lunch on your own.
Afternoon:
- Your private guide will meet you at the hotel at 2:00 PM to start the trek from Ma Tra hamlet to Ta Phin village.
- This journey will lead you through a beautiful rice terrace valley.
- You will have the chance to meet local people from the Black Hmong and Red Dao ethnic groups, who originally came from Southern China and settled in Vietnam in the 11th century.
- These groups live at high altitudes, preserving their traditions, language, and ancestral way of life.
- During the trek, stop to visit a Hmong family and a school in Ma Tra village.
- After a 3-hour walk, you will reach Ta Phin village, home to the Red Dao people. Interact with the locals to learn about their life and culture.
Late afternoon:
- A car will pick you up and take you back to Sapa town.

- Explore the town and take great pictures of the minority people.

- Take a relaxing break at the cable bridge, appreciating the harmony and beauty of the surrounding nature. For the adventurous, an uphill trek along the buffalo path offers stunning views and fewer tourists. Alternatively, enjoy an easy walk along the Muong Hoa River.
Mid-Morning:
- Head to Lao Chai village and follow a small path winding through rice fields to a charming hamlet. Meet a grandmother, the last artisan in the community, who uses beeswax to decorate the traditional indigo clothing of the Hmong people. Immerse yourself in their daily life and vibrant culture.
Late Morning:
- Continue to Ta Van village, home to the Dzay people, situated on a hill with spectacular views of the river, rice terraces, and the Hoang Lien Son Mountain range. As you stroll leisurely, villagers may invite you to visit their homes.
- Early Afternoon: Conclude the trek and transfer back to Sapa for free time to explore the town.
Mid-Afternoon:
- The shuttle bus will pick you up at the hotel lobby at 2:30 p.m. to take you back to Hanoi, arriving at the hotel around 8:00 p.m.
