Itinerary
Night 1: Hanoi to Ha Giang
Departure: We’ll whisk you away from your hotel/hostel at 19:30.
Day 1: Ha Giang Exploration
Ha Giang – Tam Son (75km)
8:00 am: Start your adventure from your hotel/homestay in Ha Giang city. Embark on a 1.5 hour hike to explore the picturesque Thon Tha and Ha Thanh villages
10:00: Hop on your motorbike and ride to Minh Tan village, where you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
1:00 pm: Enter the Dong Van Global Karst Plateau Geopark, Vietnam’s first geopark. Along the way, marvel at the stunning Bac Sum Pass, Quan Ba Heaven Gate.
4:00 pm: Arrive at Lung Khuy village, where you’ll leave your bikes and take a 1.2 km walk to explore the magnificent Lung Khuy Cave within the geopark.
7:30 pm: Enjoy a hearty family dinner and fall asleep to soothing music.
Tam Son – Lung Cu – Dong Van (135km)
8:30 am: After breakfast, hop back on your bike and ride 38 km to Yen Minh. Experience changing landscapes and reach the top of Can Ty Pass.
10:30 am: Capture breathtaking photos at Lao Chai Valley, which offers panoramic views of terraced rice fields.
11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Ride through Yen Minh town, stopping at scenic spots like Tham Ma Pass.
1:00 pm: Arrive in Sa Phin village for lunch. Don’t miss a visit to the Hmong King Palace (Opium King Palace).
2:30 pm: Head north toward the Vietnam-China border. Climb up to the Lung Cu National Flagpole for a view that extends into China.
5:00 pm: Return to Dong Van Town, check in to your hotel, and explore the charming Dong Van ancient town.
7:30 pm: Dinner time! Savor local delicacies and end the day with homemade happy water.
Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Du Gia Village (90km)
8:30 am: Enjoy breakfast with mountain views (and visit the bustling local market if you’re here on Sunday).
9:00 am: Hop back on your bike and hit the road.
11:30 am: Experience the awe-inspiring Ma Pi Leng Pass—one of Vietnam’s four most beautiful mountain passes.
1:00 pm: Lunch break in Meo Vac town.
2:30 pm: Continue riding to Du Gia village. Along the way, stop at Sa Li Pass to admire Dao villages and rice terraces from above.
5:30 pm: Arrive in Du Gia village.
7:30 pm: Enjoy a family dinner accompanied by traditional music.
8:00 am: Breakfast with mountain vistas.
8:30 am: Hit the road and visit Du Gia Waterfall.
9:30 am: Continue toward Ha Giang city, passing through beautiful Hmong villages (perfect for photo stops).
