Itinerary
Boat trip on Huong river, excursion to Tien Non, Thanh Tien, Sinh village, the well-known Thien Mu pagoda & Hue Citadel
Arrive at Hue railway station in the morning where our tour guide and driver will welcome you and take you to your hotel to drop off your luggage. Then, start a discovery of the mystical Hue city.
Move to the Huong River (or Perfume River) to embark a Royal boat trip to the villages in the East of the city. This is an opportunity to find out the local life on the both sides of this poetic river. Upon arrival in Tien Non village, immerse in the countryside by bike through three villages: Tien Non, Thanh Tien and Sinh village. During the trip, you will be relax the daily rhythm of life in the villages.
In Tien Non village, we meet the villagers working on the fields and vegetable gardens. Then, visit a family worship house in the village. Next, reach Thanh Tien village, an artificial paper flower village dating back 400 years. In New Year, they make paper flowers to offer their ancestors the best wishes. Consequently, we have wonderful conversations with well-known artisans Mr. Hieu’s family to learn how to make paper flowers under his instruction. Mr. Sinh who is cradle of 400 year folklore prints in Hue. Last is Mr. Phuoc who will explain the techniques of traditional prints. You will find beautiful souvenirs on this trip. Later, take the boat back to the city.
In the afternoon, we discover one of the oldest spiritual pagodas in Hue called Thien Mu Pagoda dating back to 1601. This is the highlight of the city and well known for its majestic octagon tower and beautiful view of the Perfume River.
After that we go to visit the most crucial sites in city - Hue Citadel, the only vestige symbol for what was once the imperial city of Vietnam. It is inspired by the fortification of Vauban. The city is composed of three parts: Kinh Thanh (the Capital city), Hoang Thanh (the Imperial city) and Cam Thanh (the Forbidden City). The most beautiful sites in Hue are concentrated in this area including the flag tower, the South gate, the palace of supreme Harmony, the Dynasty temple area and the settlement area.

Visiting Khai Dinh Tomb, travel to Hoi An via scenic Hai Van pass, exploring Cham sculpture museum, Hoi An half day city tour.
At 7:30 AM, you'll be picked up from your hotel to visit Khai Dinh King's tomb, a stunning architectural marvel built over 11 years from 1920 to 1931 on Chau Tru hill. This tomb stands out for its blend of Eastern and Western styles. After ascending a hundred steps to the worship palace, you'll marvel at the exquisite decoration featuring porcelain fragments, a grand ceiling painting, and a small royal objects museum nearby. Descending offers a panoramic view of the tomb and its surroundings.
Next, continue your journey to Hoi An via the Mandarin Road and Sea Cloud Pass (Hai Van Pass), pausing at the pass summit for a breathtaking view of the ocean and Da Nang city. Upon arriving in Da Nang, visit the Cham Museum, home to one of the world's most significant collections of Cham culture. Then, stroll along My Khe Beach to admire the towering statues at Linh Ung Pagoda and capture photos of local fishermen. Follow the coastline to Hoi An ancient town.
In the afternoon, explore Hoi An, a well-preserved trading port from the 15th to 19th centuries, showcasing a blend of cultures through historic buildings, religious sites, and daily life. Begin at Cam Pho, one of Hoi An's oldest communal houses, designed in the shape symbolizing trade and cultural exchange between locals and Chinese and Japanese traders.
Continue to the Chua Cau, or Japanese Covered Bridge, dating back to the 17th century and connecting the Japanese and Chinese quarters. Then, visit Quan Thang Ancient House, renowned for its authentic architecture and sculptures crafted by artisans from the Kim Bong carpentry village in an Oriental style, offering insights into local family life.
Conclude your day at Phuc Kien (Fujian) Assembly Hall, a 17th-century gathering place for Fujian residents, traders, and visitors, dedicated to the deity Thien Hau. Admire the colorful courtyard fountains, ornate gates, and intricately carved dragons in the main hall.
