Boat trip, visiting Minh Mang's tomb, excursion to Thuy Bieu village, Thien Mu pagoda & Hue citadel
Our adventure begins with a comfortable transfer from your hotel to the awe-inspiring Emperor Minh Mang's tomb at 8am. This architectural marvel blends nature seamlessly with imperial religious structures. Planned during Minh Mang's reign, it was meticulously constructed by his successor, Thieu Tri, with the dedication of ten thousand workers and artisans.
Embark on a relaxing boat trip along the picturesque Huong River (Perfume River). As you soak in the breathtaking landscapes on both sides, let the gentle current carry you towards Thuy Bieu Village. Thuy Bieu, renowned for its divine grapefruit trees, you can rent a bike and explore the village at your own pace. Breathe in the fragrant air as you cycle under the shade of the grapefruit trees and witness the traditional harvest. The tranquility of the village is palpable in every corner. Step back in time at a centuries-old traditional garden house, now a temple dedicated to the village protector. Capture this picturesque scene and don't miss the chance to interact with friendly locals tending to their gardens and vegetable fields.
Immerse yourself in a delightful cooking class, learning how to prepare Hue's culinary specialties. After perfecting your skills, savor a delicious lunch prepared with fresh, local ingredients right in the village.
Post lunch, we journey to Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue's spiritual heart. Dating back to 1601, this pagoda boasts a majestic octagonal tower and offers stunning views of the Perfume River.
Our final stop is the mighty Hue Citadel, the sole remaining symbol of Vietnam's glorious imperial city. Inspired by the fortifications of Vauban, the citadel is divided into three sections: Kinh Thanh (Capital City), Hoang Thanh (Imperial City), and Cam Thanh (Forbidden City). Within these walls lie Hue's most captivating landmarks, including the flag tower, the South Gate, the Palace of Supreme Harmony, the Dynasty Temple area, and the settlement area.
As the day comes to a close, we'll transfer you back to your hotel.
The evening is yours to explore the city's vibrant streets or unwind at your leisure.
