Stop to visit the Dong Xuan central market - the largest in Hanoi. At 9:00 AM, your tour guide will pick you up and take you to the Temple of Literature, founded in the 11th century during the Ly dynasty for Confucius worship and royal education. You'll also see the World Heritage stone steles, which honor exceptional students, and explore the Quoc Tu Giam, the first national university in Vietnam.

Your next stop is the Ethnology Museum (closed on Mondays), which offers a comprehensive view of Vietnamese culture through displays of traditional clothing, tools, musical instruments, and ethnic houses. Expect to spend about two hours here.

In the afternoon, wander through the French Quarter, Hanoi’s “little Paris,” characterized by its tree-lined avenues, government offices, and a large square. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum from the outside, then enjoy a leisurely walk in the botanical gardens to see the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, his former residence and workplace. You'll also visit the One-Pillar Pagoda, a significant symbol of the city. The exploration of this area will take approximately 1 to 2 hours, depending on your group size.

The day ends with a captivating water puppet show, a traditional performance from the 11th century showcasing Vietnamese daily life, culture, and beliefs through puppets on water, often accompanied by traditional music. Return to your hotel to conclude your day.

Continue your journey towards the Limestone Rock Plateau, often referred to as the "mountainous Halong Bay." This stunning natural landscape is featured in the World Geological Park book. As you travel, you'll have the chance to explore “Nha Trinh Tuong” by walking to Lung Hoa Village. This unique Hmong house, constructed on sticky ground, provides insight into local architectural styles. Next, visit the Palace of the H'mong King (Dinh Vua Meo). Over 100 years ago, the regions of Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, and Meo Vac formed an autonomous zone with their own king, who was involved in the opium trade with China. Arrive at Tien Non village, disembark, and take a bike ride through the surrounding villages: Tien Non, Thanh Tien, and Sinh. Immerse yourself in the serene rural lifestyle.

In Tien Non village, interact with locals working in the fields and visit a family worship house. Continue to Thanh Tien village, renowned for its 400-year history of making paper flowers for festive occasions. Visit Mr. Hieu’s workshop to learn the traditional art of paper flower making. Proceed to Sinh village, known for its traditional folklore prints. Meet Mr. Phuoc, who will demonstrate the printmaking techniques. Collect unique souvenirs before returning to Hue city by boat.

In the afternoon, visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue’s most ancient pagodas, built in 1601. Enjoy the majestic view of the Perfume River and the pagoda’s iconic octagonal tower.

Then, explore the Hue Citadel, a historical fortress that was once the imperial city of Vietnam. The Citadel, inspired by the fortifications of Vauban, is divided into three main sections: Kinh Thanh (Capital City), Hoang Thanh (Imperial City), and Cam Thanh (Forbidden City). Begin at Cam Pho, one of the oldest communal houses, shaped like the Chinese character for "country." This house was built for worship, trade, and cultural exchange between local residents and Chinese and Japanese traders.

Next, visit Chua Cau, the Japanese Covered Bridge, constructed in the 17th century to connect the Japanese district with the Chinese quarters. This historic bridge has maintained its original style for over 400 years.

Then, head to Quan Thang Ancient House, known for its traditional architecture and fine carvings by artisans from Kim Bong Carpentry Village. This house provides insight into the traditional lifestyle of Hoi An's residents.

8:00 AM: Your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel for a visit to the sacred valley of the Champa Kingdom. Located 40km from Hoi An, My Son was a key religious and intellectual center for the Champa Kingdom and possibly served as a royal tomb area.

Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, My Son boasts 70 ancient brick and stone structures from the 7th to 13th centuries. Your guide will provide detailed explanations of the site's cultural, historical, and architectural values. Enjoy a traditional Champa dance performance before concluding your visit.

Following your tour, transfer to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, a professional tour guide and driver will meet you. 9:00 AM: Begin with a pick-up from your hotel and visit the Independence Palace. This historical landmark was once the home and office of South Vietnam’s Presidents. 8:00 AM: Depart from your hotel to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a striking site of the Vietnam War. This extensive subterranean city, stretching over 250km, was built by the Viet Cong using only hand tools over twenty years. The tour includes a chance to enter some tunnel sections and visit the nearby Ben Duoc memorial temple, a less frequented site established in 1993 to honor those who died at Cu Chi.

Then, proceed to the Cao Dai Temple, an important spiritual site in Vietnam. Caodaism is a distinctive Vietnamese religion that combines Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, and elements of Roman Catholicism. During your visit, you can observe the midday mass.

8:00 AM: You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Ben Tre, a charming region in the Mekong Delta famous for its coconut candy.

On arrival at Hung Vuong pier, enjoy a boat trip on the Ben Tre River to experience local life. Continue the boat trip along a canal to Nhon Thanh Village, where you can taste fresh fruits. Explore the village further with a bike ride or tuk tuk along small paths, offering views of coconut plantations, rice fields, and vegetable gardens.

Lunch will consist of elephant ear fish in the village. A brief walk will provide a deeper insight into local life. Then, take a boat ride along a small canal shaded by wild palms. After leaving Ben Tre, transfer for one hour to Cai Lay. You’ll be greeted warmly by your homestay host and will get involved in making Banh Xeo Nam Bo, a traditional regional dish.

Later, head to Long Xuyen, with a stop in Sa Dec to visit Kien An Cung pagoda and the residence of Huynh Thuy Le, as described in Marguerite Duras’s novel "L’Amant – The Lover".
