Afterward, take a stroll through picturesque ethnic villages, where you'll see traditional Bac Ha landscapes filled with corn fields, cassava hills, clay houses, and plum gardens, all complemented by the colorful dresses of H'Mong women.
Proceed to Xin Man, a town situated on the Vietnam-China border. En route, visit the Lung Cai and Lan Ma communes. Explore local villages, a primary school, and a boarding school for ethnic children who live there during the week. Engage with teachers and students to learn more about their lives. From Lan Ma, hike down the Lan Ma pass, passing through traditional Hmong villages and enjoying stunning views of rice terraces. (Note: This trek can be done in reverse for a different perspective.)

8:00 AM: Set off for Dong Van, enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the region along the route. Before reaching the Quan Ba pass, make a stop at the Quyet Tien Commune to visit a Bo Y village. The Bo Y people, originally from China, number around 2,000 and live in the northern mountainous areas. Pause at the Quan Ba pass to take in the view of Quan Ba town and the iconic Twin Fairy Mountain (Nui Co Tien).
Proceed to the Limestone Rock Plateau, often likened to a mountainous version of Halong Bay. This spectacular natural site is featured in the World Geological Park book. On your journey, visit Lung Hoa Village by foot to see the “Nha Trinh Tuong,” a distinctive type of Hmong house built on sticky ground. Then, visit the Palace of the H'mong King (Dinh Vua Meo), which dates back a century. This area, including Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, and Meo Vac, once operated as an independent zone with its own ruler and was known for its opium trade with China. Arrive in Dong Van, check into your accommodation, and unwind.

This film, by rugby player Frederik Michalak, was shot in the Lo Lo village of Khuoi Khon, located 9 km from Bao Lac town. Enjoy lunch in Bao Lac town before checking into your hotel.
In the afternoon, we will transfer to Coc Xa village in the Na Van commune. Unlike the more commercialized Khuoi Khon village, Coc Xa provides a genuine glimpse into the Lo Lo culture. Walk through the village's rice fields and trails, visit local homes, and converse with villagers to gain insight into their way of life and customs. To reach it, you’ll need to walk up a steep 2 km incline, with increasingly spectacular views as you ascend. Visit a local family to explore the authentic life of the San Chi ethnic group.
Proceed to Ba Be, where you'll be impressed by the majestic scenery of mountains meeting rice terrace valleys. Stop frequently to take photographs or film the landscape. Upon reaching Ba Be, check into your accommodation in Pac Ngoi Village and then enjoy a bicycle ride through nearby Tay ethnic villages to Hua Ma Cave, 5 km away. This cave is famous for its remarkable stalactite and stalagmite formations. Return to your accommodation to end the day.

Start your morning with a walk from the village to the pier for a boat trip on the lake, with the option to take a swim. Visit the Fairy Pond located deep in the untouched forest. Following your lake visit, proceed to the Nang River. Take a walk along the riverbanks and enjoy the wild scenery before reaching the Dau Dang Waterfall.
Continue your boat ride upstream on the Nang River to Puong Cave, where you’ll find thousands of bats. The boat will navigate through the cave, heading towards Buoc Lom Pier. Here, you’ll meet your driver for the journey back to Hanoi.

12:00 - 12:15 PM: Enjoy a welcome drink and receive a safety briefing about the cruise activities before checking into your cabin.
