This architectural masterpiece, planned during Minh Mang’s reign (1820–1840) and built by his successor Thieu Tri, showcases a harmonious blend of nature and imperial religious works. The construction involved the efforts of ten thousand workers and artisans.

Next, take a scenic boat ride along the Huong River (Perfume River) to Thuy Bieu Village, admiring the picturesque landscapes on both sides. After about an hour, arrive in Thuy Bieu, famous for its divine grapefruit trees. Enjoy a leisurely bike ride around the village under the shade of the trees, breathing in their pleasant aroma and the scent of harvested straw. The village exudes a peaceful atmosphere at every turn. Visit a temple dedicated to the village protector and explore a traditional garden house built centuries ago. Capture great photos and interact with villagers working in the gardens and vegetable fields.

Afterward, return to the city center to visit the Hue Citadel, the only remaining symbol of Vietnam's imperial city. Inspired by Vauban's fortifications, the citadel comprises three parts: Kinh Thanh (the Capital City), Hoang Thanh (the Imperial City), and Cam Thanh (the Forbidden City). Once a bustling South-East Asian trading port from the 15th to the 19th century, Hoi An's Old Town remains remarkably well-preserved, showcasing a rich blend of cultural influences in its historic buildings, religious sites, and daily life.

Your first stop is Cam Pho, one of the oldest communal houses in Hoi An. Built in the shape of a Chinese character symbolizing the country, this house has long served as a hub for worship, trade, and cultural exchange among locals, Chinese, and Japanese traders.

Take a leisurely walk to Chua Cau, or the Japanese Covered Bridge, an iconic symbol of Hoi An. Constructed in the 17th century to connect the Japanese and Chinese neighborhoods, the bridge has retained its original style for over 400 years.

Late Morning:
Continue your journey through the town, immersing yourself in local life. Stop at Quan Thang Ancient House, one of the most authentic old houses in Hoi An. This house features lively and intricate architecture and sculptures crafted by artisans from the famous Kim Bong carpentry village. It offers a fascinating glimpse into the daily life of a traditional Hoi An family.

Enrich your tour with a visit to the Phuc Kien (Fujian) Assembly Hall, established in the 17th century as a gathering place for Fujian residents, traders, and visitors. This hall also serves as a religious site honoring the deity Thien Hau. Admire the colorful fountains in the courtyard, the ornate gates, and the beautifully carved dragons in the main hall.

Afternoon:
Finally, explore the bustling Hoi An Central Market, the best place to observe local daily life. Situated on the riverside, this large market is packed with stalls offering a wide variety of food at extremely affordable prices. The fresh vegetable, meat, and fish market is particularly worth visiting.
