Cu Chi tunnels boat and Underground in Saigon – 01 Day

Morning
Hotel Pickup and Boat Departure: Your guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and bring you by car to your boat at Ho Chi Minh City’s pier. Depart from Saigon by boat, and within 15 minutes, the riverbanks change from city sprawl to lush jungle. Enjoy a light breakfast of sandwiches or pastries, fresh tropical fruits, and Vietnamese iced coffee (Ca phe sua da) as your guide explains rural traditions and aspects of riverbank life.
Arrival at Cu Chi Tunnels: Arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels site before the majority of larger bus tours. Begin with a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video about the Cu Chi area.
Exploration of Cu Chi Tunnels: Explore the Cu Chi site, including weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating authentic Viet Cong tunnels, visiting various underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunition storage), a firing range, and more. Try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years.

Noon
Lunch by the River: Enjoy a delicious traditional Vietnamese lunch by the river, consisting of authentic fried spring rolls, chicken and beef dishes, and soup.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City: Depart from Cu Chi and return to Ho Chi Minh City by boat.

Afternoon
Motorbike Tour Pickup: Arrive back at Saigon’s pier and be picked up by your motorbike driver.
Visit to Secret Printing House: Visit a secret printing house disguised as a guitar shop, used during the Indochina War for publishing propaganda tracts between 1952 and 1957.
Secret Weapon Cache: After an adventurous ride, stop at a secret weapon cache that was used during the Vietnam War. If one of the underground sites is unavailable on the day of your tour, visit a historical hospital built by the French at the end of the 19th century, which was used as a prison from the 1930s until the end of the Vietnam War in 1975.
Coffee Shop Break: Leave the weapon cache and head to a local coffee shop for refreshments.

Evening
Return to Hotel: Your driver will drop you off at your hotel, concluding your exciting and informative day tour.
