In the morning, move from your hotel to the Emperor Minh Mang's tomb. It was a symphony of stone and flora, where imperial religious edifices stand in respectful accord with the surrounding wilderness. Although Minh Mang envisioned the tomb during his rule (1820-1840), his successor, Thieu Tri, brought the emperor's vision to life. The construction required the dedication of a staggering ten thousand workers and artisans.
Next, take a boat ride along the Huong River, also known as the Perfume River, to Thuy Bieu Village, soaking in the stunning landscapes on either side. After having lunch, we'll take a scenic drive to Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue's oldest, dating back to 1601. This majestic pagoda boasts an iconic octagonal tower and offers stunning views of the Perfume River. It's considered the city's spiritual heart.
We'll return to the city center to explore Hue's crown jewel - the Imperial Citadel. Inspired by the fortifications of Vauban, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the sole remaining symbol of Vietnam's imperial past. The Citadel is divided into three parts: Kinh Thanh (the Capital City), Hoang Thanh (the Imperial City), and Cam Thanh (the Forbidden City). Its walls lie architectural gems like the flag tower, the South Gate, the Palace of Supreme Harmony, the Dynasty Temple area, and the residential quarters.

Proceed to Phuc Kien, or the Fujian Assembly Hall.
