Itinerary
Greetings from Hanoi, and a stroll in the Old Quarter.
When you arrive at the Noi Bai airport, a knowledgeable tour guide and driver greet you in the pickup lobby. Enjoy a 45-minute drive to the Old Quarter in the heart of Hanoi while learning about the city's top attractions, customs, traffic, and food.When you go to your hotel, check in and then unwind.
Note: The hotel checks you in at 14.00.
As the day goes on, your tour guide will accompany you on a stroll around the serene Hoan Kiem Lake to the Opera House, with stops at the Vietnamese Government Guest House, the Sofitel Metropole Hanoi, and the monument of King Ly Thai To. Return to the Old Town by foot, explore a few of the main streets, and then head back to your accommodation.
Option: The walking tour will be shifted to the day of the city tour if your flight arrives late or if you are experiencing jet lag after a lengthy travel.

Strolling about West Lake, the Old Quarter, seeing a water puppet play, visiting a World Heritage site, and visiting the French Quarter and Ho Chi Minh Complex
Nine in the morning: Take a tour guide-led pickup to the Temple of Literature, which was constructed in the eleventh century by the Ly dynasty to honor Confucius and instruct royal children. Savor a stroll through the park to Khue Van Cac, the city's emblem. Next, you will see the "stone steles" of World Heritage that list the names of distinguished pupils. Go on exploring Quoc Tu Giam, which is regarded as Vietnam's first national university.
See one of the city's museums (National History Museum, Hoa Lo, Museum of Ethnology, Fine Art Museum) thereafter, and then take a break for lunch or a drink (on your own dime).
You spend the day seeing Hanoi's "little Paris," the French Quarter, which has a large plaza, government buildings, and boulevards lined with trees. See Ho Chi Minh's tomb from the exterior before taking a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens to see the Presidential Palace, which is Ho Chi Minh's former residence and place of business. In the direction of the distinctive One-pillar pagoda, one of the city's icons. Depending on the number of passengers, exploring this complex takes one to two hours.
Proceed to the Quan Thanh temple, one of the city's four most significant temples. Built during the reign of Ly Thai To King in the eleventh century, it is dedicated to the worship of the Tran Vu gods, the main Taoist deities. Enjoy a leisurely stroll with stunning city views over the West Lake on a charming route. Visit the Pagoda of Tran Quoc, which was built in the sixth century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De Dynasty.
Enjoying at last the water puppet displays, which are distinctive acts that date back to the eleventh century. Puppets on water depict Vietnamese culture, daily life, and beliefs in these performances. Usually, a traditional music performance is included in the program.

Touring Muong village and learning about Thai culture in the villages of Lac, Na Phon, and Poong Com.
8:00 A.M. After meeting the driver and tour leader, head to Mai Chau. Visit a Muong village en route. Proceed to Thung Khe Pass, where you'll find breathtaking sweeping views of the valley, and eventually arrive in Mai Chau town. The stunning valley of Mai Chau is situated 145 kilometers from Hanoi. It's a beautiful area with serene scenery, verdant mountain ranges, rice terraces, and White Thai traditional villages.
Once you get to Mai Chau, check into your lodging, and then have a lunch break. Walk or ride a bike 5 kilometers to the rice fields in the afternoon. Learn about the customs and way of life of the residents of the villages of Lac, Na Phon, and Poong Com. Observe the rural laborers working in the rice fields, visit the weavers, and talk to the people. Arrive back at your lodging in the late afternoon.

After having breakfast in the tranquil area, proceed to Mai Hich. Walk or ride a bike around the concrete roads and paths for exploration. Don't pass up the chance to interact with the welcoming locals who would be happy to have you over for a cup of tea at their home.
Return to Mai Chau for lunch, after which leave for Ninh Binh. En route, make a stop to interact with locals and take photographs as requested. When you get to Ninh Binh in the late afternoon, be sure you check into your lodging.

Taking a boat ride to admire Bai Dinh, the enormous pagoda, and the World Natural Heritage in Trang An.
8:00 A.M. Take a shuttle from your accommodation to Trang An, the first mixed historic zone in history, which was approved by UNESCO in 2014. When you go to the dock, a native will gently paddle you onto a private traditional sampan boat. Travel through a sequence of caverns, some of which are 300–400 meters long, while crossing a romantic river. You may discover a brand-new secret planet in each segment, tucked away in peaceful valleys.
Get off the boat and stroll among serene temples and pagodas honoring the most well-known mandarins of the Tran Dynasty. Reboard the sampan boat and return to the pier while taking in the splendor of the surrounding environment.
After taking a lunch break, continue your tour to Bai Dinh Pagoda, one of Vietnam's most striking Buddhist temples. Once you reach the pagoda, proceed along a road lined with 500 stone arhats that lead to the major pagodas. Every one of the enormous sculptures and pagodas is a marvel of creative building.
Take the elevator to the 13-story tower known as the perspective, where it is said that some of the Buddha's ashes are kept. Take in the expansive vista of Southeast Asia's largest pagoda set against the stunning backdrop of a river valley filled with breathtaking limestone karsts.

After eating breakfast at your accommodation, proceed to Tam Coc, which is said to be "Halong Bay on land" and was featured in the well-known French film "Indochina." You will board a private sampan boat at the port and cruise the Ngo Dong River for ninety minutes. Explore three caverns and take in the breathtaking scenery that is peppered with little towns, rice fields, cemeteries, and temples.
Proceed to the Bich Dong, a typical Red River Delta rural pagoda constructed in the fifteenth century. Once there, a stone bridge will take you to Chua Ha, from where you may ascend more than 100 stairs to reach Chua Trung, the cave pagoda with the unusual clay figurines. After that, you'll climb up to Chua Thuong. Not only can you get knowledge about Buddhism, but you can also take in breathtaking views of the countryside.
Savor the local food at Tam Coc before continuing on to Hoa Lu, which served as Vietnam's capital throughout the tenth and eleventh centuries. Surrounded by limestone mountains and rivers, the fortress is naturally protected and provides an incredibly magnificent backdrop.
When you go to Hoa Lu, you'll see the temples honoring Emperors Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968–80) and Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980–1009), who were instrumental in helping the nation win its freedom from China after a millennium of Chinese domination. The fact that both temples date back to the 17th century shows how much the King's efforts were respected.
Travel the Red River Delta on your way from Ninh Binh to Hanoi, taking in the breathtaking scenery along the way. Along the trip, take advantage of several photo ops amid the verdant rice fields and peaceful countryside.

8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: If you're staying outside of the Old Quarter, our driver will pick you up from our shuttle bus stop or from your hotel in the Old Quarter (extra price applies). After that, we'll go to Halong City through stunning scenery. A bathroom break is offered en route, and the transfer takes around 2.5 to 3 hours.
12:30: Arriving at Gray Line Cruise through a private port and receiving a hearty greeting from the crew. drinking welcoming beverages after checking in and receiving a briefing from the tour leader.
13:30: Indulging in a delectable midday meal as the cruise continues into the bay. After lunch, take your time exploring the hundreds of shaped limestone islands. This is the ideal moment to take in the breathtaking Halong scenery in slow motion.
15:00: Using a tender boat to reach Luon Cave. We will use kayaks or rowboats to explore the area's serenity. Unwinding on the kayaks and boats is an even more fantastic opportunity to really appreciate this unique marine vista.
At 16:00: A brief stop at Titov Island. There will be options for you to spend time alone, sunbathing, swimming, or climbing Mount Titov to get a panoramic view of the Bay (highly recommended).
17:30: Returning to the boat for some downtime as the sun sets. On the sundeck, savor fresh fruits for FREE. Seasonal specials or special prices will apply to other beverages.
18.30: Attending a poolside cooking demonstration. Make a good effort and see how proficient you are in the kitchen or with Vietnamese cuisine preparation.
19.30: There will be a sophisticated dinner with regional cuisine.
Following supper, there is no restriction on what to do in the evening. Movies, cards, fishing equipment, and guitars are all accessible. Orders must be placed in advance for some activities.

Discovering the magnificent Sung Sot cave, unwinding in the midst of the bay, returning to Hanoi, and departing at 6:00: Getting up early to practice Tai Chi Quan or to take in the breathtaking views of the island's rising clouds breaking the water (exercises are optional).
07:00: A light breakfast consisting of bread, pastries, tea, coffee, and noodle soup will be available.
07:45: A tender boat will pick us up to take us to the Surprising (Sung Sot) Cave, which was found in 1901 and is today a popular tourist destination due to its vast size. Following millions of years of water erosion and rock creation, the cave currently has hundreds of amazing stalactites, stalagmites, and enormous stone chambers that set it apart from all other caves in the Gulf of Tonkin. When visiting the Cave, it is advised to wear comfortable clothing, shoes, and sandals.
09:15: Returning to our cruise ship to check out and freshen up. On the Gray Line's partially open sundeck, we may relax with a drink.
10:30: Savoring a delicious buffet lunch as the boat makes its way back around the bay.
11:30: It's time for us to check out of the cruise and bid the crew farewell.
At the Cruise Waiting Lounge, our driver will meet you and take you to Hanoi (extra costs apply). The trip takes around 2.5–3 hours, and there is an optional bathroom break along the route. You will be dropped off at our shuttle bus stop or at your hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
