Day 2 :
Hoi An

Our first stop is Cam Pho, a venerable communal house built in the form of a Chinese character signifying "country." This architectural marvel served as a center for worship, trade, and cultural exchange between local residents and Chinese and Japanese merchants.

Next, we'll take a short stroll to the iconic Chua Cau, or the Japanese Covered Bridge, a 17th-century masterpiece that connected the Japanese quarter with the Chinese neighborhoods. Witness the meticulously preserved bridge, a testament to its 400-year legacy.

Prepare to be awestruck by Quan Thang, one of Hoi An's most authentic old houses. Marvel at its lively architecture and intricate sculptures, crafted by the renowned Kim Bong carpentry village in a captivating oriental style. This house offers a unique glimpse into the daily life of a traditional Hoi An family.

Our exploration continues at the Phuc Kien or Fujian Assembly Hall, a 17th-century gathering place for residents, traders, and visitors from China's Fujian province. This structure also serves as a religious site honoring the deity Thien Hau. Be mesmerized by the vibrant courtyard fountains, the ornately decorated gates, and the magnificent carved dragons adorning the main room.

After a delightful lunch break, we'll delve into an exciting lantern-making class. As we continue our leisurely journey, we'll arrive at the pier for a scenic boat trip to Thanh Ha village, nestled just 2km from the town center. Renowned for its pottery restoration practices, Thanh Ha's legacy is beautifully preserved in the ancient townhouses. Witness 23 families, who for generations since the 16th century, have carried on the tradition of pottery making as their primary occupation. Following this immersive experience, we'll venture into the village's captivating private porcelain museum.

Immerse yourself in the traditional farming practices of Tra Que village. Here, you'll get your hands dirty by selecting fresh coriander and mint for the delicious dishes you'll be creating later. Enhance your experience by indulging in a refreshing local herbal drink

With a list of essential spices, we'll head to a bustling local market. Here, you'll get to choose fresh ingredients like fragrant star anise, aromatic cardamom, delicate rice paper, and unique banana flowers. After purchasing ingredients from the market, we'll return to the Red Bridge Restaurant. Take a moment to prepare spirit before diving into the world of Vietnamese cuisine. After an hour's journey, arrive at Thuy Bieu, renowned for its sacred grapefruit trees.
