Welcome to Hanoi, enjoy a walking tour in the old quarter

Landing at the Noi Bai airport, you are welcomed by professional tour guide and driver at the pickup lobby. Enjoy 45-minute driving to the city center (Hanoi Old Quarter) with city's briefing information about the most visited spots, culture, traffic and cuisine....Arrive in your hotel, check in and have a rest.

Continue the day, tour guide will escort you walking around the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake to the Opera House, stopping at the statue of King Ly Thai To and Vietnamese Government Guest House, Sofitel Metropole Hanoi. Walk back to the Old town, visit some main streets before returning to your hotel.

9:00 AM: Your guide will pick you up from your hotel to start a day of exploring Hanoi’s rich cultural landscape. Your first stop is the Temple of Literature, an 11th-century sanctuary built by the Ly Dynasty. This historic site, dedicated to Confucius, was also Vietnam’s first university. Wander through its peaceful courtyards and gardens, and admire the Khue Van Cac Pavilion, a renowned symbol of Hanoi’s scholarly heritage.

Visit the “stone steles” that commemorate exceptional students from the past, and delve into the history of Quoc Tu Giam, the nation’s premier educational institution.

Next, choose from one of Hanoi’s renowned museums based on your interests: the National History Museum, Hoa Lo Prison (also known as the Hanoi Hilton), the Museum of Ethnology, or the Fine Arts Museum. Enjoy a leisurely lunch or a refreshing drink at a nearby café, depending on your preferences.

In the afternoon, explore the French Quarter, a charming area reminiscent of Paris with its grand squares, stately government buildings, and tree-lined avenues. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (viewed from the outside) and stroll through the surrounding gardens. Discover the Presidential Palace, where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked, and visit the One-Pillar Pagoda, an architectural marvel and a symbol of Hanoi.

Proceed to the Quan Thanh Temple, one of Hanoi’s most revered temples, dating back to the 11th century under the Ly Dynasty. This temple is dedicated to Tran Vu, an important Taoist deity.

Take a leisurely walk along West Lake, enjoying its picturesque views and serene ambiance. Stop by Tran Quoc Pagoda, which dates back to the 6th century and offers stunning views of the lake.

Conclude your day with a captivating water puppet show, a traditional Vietnamese performance art that dates back to the 11th century. Watch as colorful puppets float on water, bringing to life Vietnamese folklore, culture, and daily life, often accompanied by live traditional music.

A full day to explore Ninh Binh at Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Bich Dong

8:00 AM: Your adventure begins as you meet your local guide and driver at the inn. Journeying through the lush landscapes of the Red River Delta, you'll head towards Ninh Binh, a region renowned for its historical, cultural, religious, and natural wonders. Along the way, feel free to stop and capture the picturesque scenery with your camera.

Your first stop is Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from the 10th to 11th centuries. This historic citadel, surrounded by dramatic limestone peaks and meandering rivers, offers a stunning backdrop. Visit the temples dedicated to Emperors Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968–80) and Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980–1009), who were instrumental in Vietnam's struggle for independence from Chinese rule. These temples, built in the 17th century, stand as a testament to their enduring legacy.

Next, explore Bich Dong Pagoda, a serene sanctuary nestled in the Red River Delta’s countryside and constructed in the 15th century. Cross a stone bridge to reach Chua Ha, and then climb over 100 steps to Chua Trung, the cave pagoda known for its striking earthen sculptures. Continue your ascent to Chua Thuong, where you’ll delve into Buddhism while soaking in panoramic views of the surrounding rural landscape.

After a local lunch, continue your exploration by visiting Tam Coc, often referred to as the "Halong Bay on land" and famously featured in the French film "Indochina." 11:30 AM: Disembark at Tuan Chau Marina and bid farewell to the crew.

You’ll be greeted by our driver at the Cruise Waiting Lounge for the transfer back to Hanoi (additional charges apply). The trip takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, with a restroom break if needed. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter or at our Shuttle Bus stop.

Begin your day with a departure from your hotel and head towards Marble Mountain, a breathtaking natural wonder in Da Nang. This cluster of five mountains is named after the fundamental elements of the universe: water, wood, metal, fire, and earth. Explore the mystical caves of Tang Chon, Huyen Khong, and Am Phu, which house ancient pagodas and temples. Hike up to a scenic viewpoint that was a favored spot of the Nguyen dynasty emperors for its splendid views.

Afterward, wander through the charming Non Nuoc village at the mountain’s base, renowned for its marble craftsmanship. Marvel at the intricate marble sculptures and take some time to pick up unique souvenirs as mementos of your visit.

Return to Da Nang and visit the Cham Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of Cham artifacts. Admire over 300 pieces, including terracotta, sandstone, and bronze sculptures depicting Hindu deities, as well as intricate Linga and Yoni relics. The museum also features exhibits on contemporary Cham culture, including videos, traditional clothing, and photographs, showcasing the rich history of the Champa Kingdom that thrived from the 4th to the 13th century in central Vietnam.
From Da Nang, drive across the Thuan Phuoc Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Vietnam, heading north to the Son Tra Peninsula. Stop for striking photos at Man Thai fishing village, famous for its fresh seafood and traditional fish sauce production.
