Welcome to Hanoi, enjoy a walking tour in the old quarter

Landing at the Noi Bai airport, you are welcomed by professional tour guide and driver at the pickup lobby. Enjoy 45-minute driving to the city center (Hanoi Old Quarter) with city's briefing information about the most visited spots, culture, traffic and cuisine....Arrive in your hotel, check in and have a rest.

Continue the day, tour guide will escort you walking around the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake to the Opera House, stopping at the statue of King Ly Thai To and Vietnamese Government Guest House, Sofitel Metropole Hanoi. Walk back to the Old town, visit some main streets before returning to your hotel.

Option: If your flight arrives late or you are jet lag after long flight, the walking tour will be moved to the city tour day.

9:00 AM: Start your day with a local guide who will lead you to theTemple of Literature, a revered 11th-century site dedicated to Confucius and once an esteemed school for Imperial children under the Ly dynasty. Enjoy a relaxing stroll through the lush gardens and admire the city’s symbol, Khue Van Cac. Next, explore the World Heritage stone steles that honor Vietnam's greatest scholars.

Discover Quoc Tu Giam, the nation's first university, and then choose from one of Hanoi’s fascinating museums: the National Museum of History, Hoa Lo Prison, the Museum of Ethnology, or the Fine Arts Museum. Take a break for lunch or a drink (at your own expense).

In the afternoon, wander through Hanoi's French Quarter, known as the “Little Paris” of the city, with its charming tree-lined avenues, grand government buildings, and elegant squares. View Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum from the outside, then enjoy a leisurely walk through the gardens to visit the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house, where he lived and worked.

Next, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique architectural marvel and one of the city's icons. Depending on the number of visitors, this exploration can take between 1 to 2 hours.

Continue to Quan Thanh Temple, one of Hanoi's four great temples, dating back to the 11th century under King Ly Thai To and dedicated to the Taoist god Tran Vu. Stroll along a scenic path by West Lake, taking in picturesque city views. Stop at Tran Quoc Pagoda, which dates back to the 6th century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De.

Finish your day with a mesmerizing water puppet show, a traditional Vietnamese performance that dates back to the 11th century, featuring puppets performing on water to depict daily life, culture, and beliefs, often accompanied by live traditional music.

A full day to explore Ninh Binh at Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Bich Dong

8:00 AM: Meet your local guide and driver at the hotel and set off for Ninh Binh, a region renowned for its rich historical, cultural, religious, and natural wonders. As you journey through the picturesque Red River Delta, feel free to pause for photographs along the way.

Your first stop is Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from the 10th to 11th centuries, nestled amid dramatic limestone mountains and winding rivers that provided natural fortification. Explore the temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80) and King Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009), who were pivotal in reclaiming Vietnamese independence after a millennium of Chinese rule. These temples, built in the 17th century, are monuments to their enduring legacy.

Continue your journey to Bich Dong, a historic pagoda set in the lush landscapes of the Red River Delta, built in the 15th century. Cross a stone bridge to Chua Ha and climb over 100 steps to reach Chua Trung, a cave pagoda famous for its unique clay sculptures. Ascend further to Chua Thuong, where you can delve into Buddhist teachings while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.

Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Tam Coc, often called the "Halong Bay on Land," and featured in the French film "Indochine." At the Tam Coc dock, embark on a private sampan boat for a serene cruise along the Ngo Dong River. Glide through three enchanting caves and marvel at the stunning vistas of temples, rice paddies, quaint villages, and ancient cemeteries.

11:00 AM: Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina and check in at the waiting lounge.

12:00 PM: Board the cruise ship, receive a welcome drink, and get a brief overview of the cruise. Check into your cabin and prepare for lunch.

12:30 PM: Indulge in a Vietnamese and international lunch while cruising through Halong Bay, taking in views of landmarks like the Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock Islet, and Three Coconuts Island.

2:30 PM: Continue your exploration with a visit to the Pearl Farm, where you can go kayaking and enjoy the scenic beauty of Halong Bay.

4:00 PM: Visit Sung Sot Cave, or Grotte des Surprising, the largest limestone cave in the area. Admire the impressive stalactites and stalagmites that have developed over millions of years. (Wear proper footwear as conditions may be wet.)

5:45 PM: Return to the boat and enjoy Happy Hour at the bar (buy 2 drinks, get 1 free).

11:30 AM: Disembark at Tuan Chau Marina and say your farewells to the crew.

Our driver will greet you at the Cruise Waiting Lounge for the transfer back to Hanoi (additional fees may apply). The journey takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, with an optional restroom stop along the way. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter or at our Shuttle Bus stop.

A private driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby in Hanoi's Old Quarter for the 45-minute drive to Noi Bai Airport (international or domestic terminal based on your needs). Thank you for your visit.
