Day 2 :
Hoi An
Explore Hoi An by cycling & walking, Kim Bong, Tra Nhieu, Cam Thanh villages
At 8:00 AM, you'll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the center of Hoi An. Your first stop will be Cam Pho, one of the oldest communal houses in Hoi An. This structure, built in the form of a Chinese character representing the country, was used for worship, trade, and cultural exchanges between local people and Chinese and Japanese traders.
Stroll leisurely to Hoi An's iconic landmark, the Chua Cau, also known as the Japanese Covered Bridge. Constructed in the 17th century, this bridge connected the Japanese and Chinese neighborhoods. Its original design has been meticulously maintained for the past 400 years.
Engage with the town's life by walking to Quan Thang ancient house, a well-preserved old house in Hoi An. The lively architecture and fine sculptures created by artisans from the renowned Kim Bong carpentry village reflect traditional oriental style and offer a look into the daily life of a Hoi An family.
Next, visit the Phuc Kien (Fujian) Assembly Hall. Then, embark on a ferry crossing the Thu Bon River to Kim Bong village. On the boat, immerse yourself in the refreshing air and enjoy the serene landscapes on both sides of the river.
This village has a longstanding reputation for its wood carving. Initially, the artisans inherited techniques from northern Vietnam. Through business exchanges, they later adopted Chinese and Japanese sculpting methods, developing their unique style. Bike around the village to experience their daily life and visit a carpenter's workshop to appreciate their craftsmanship. You can also purchase wood products as souvenirs.
Continue cycling on the trails to Tra Nhieu village, where you can immerse yourself in the central Vietnamese countryside. The trip includes unique encounters, such as meeting Ms. Duoc, who weaves mats, Mr. Kha, who makes bamboo sampan baskets, and Mr. Huynh Ri, who works at his craftsman shipyard. Along the way, you'll be surrounded by a picturesque countryside landscape of palm trees, rice fields, buffaloes, and farmers working in the fields.
Departing from Tra Nhieu, embark on a boat journey along the Thu Bon River to Cam Thanh village, with views of fishing farms and water palm trees accompanying you.
On arrival in Cam Thanh, rest at the home of fisherman Mr. Phong. Enjoy green tea and a foot massage with medicinal herbs from the family garden. Then, use vegetables and herbs from Tra Que village to prepare dishes such as crispy pancakes (with meat, shrimp, and beansprouts), Hoi An spring rolls, Tam Huu, and grilled fish in banana leaves. Relish the dishes you've cooked.
In the afternoon, take a relaxing trip in a small round bamboo basket boat through the water palm forest. Later, you'll be transferred back to your hotel to conclude the day.

Hoi An - My Son - Hoi An40km - 1h
My Son Sanctuary, Champa culture, unique architecture
At 8:00 AM, move from your hotel for a half-day visit to the sacred valley of the Champa Kingdom. My Son, located 40 km from Hoi An, was the Champa Kingdom's most significant intellectual and religious center and may have served as a burial ground for Cham monarchs.
A UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, My Son features 70 ruined architectural works of bricks and stones, constructed between the 7th and 13th centuries. Your guide will explain the cultural, historical, and architectural importance of each relic as you tour the site. The visit also includes a traditional Champa dance performance before leaving the sanctuary. After the tour, you'll head back to the city, where you can relax on the beach or take a leisurely walk in the city center.

Travel to Hue, visiting Cham sculpture museum, Hai Van Pass, Thien Mu Pagoda & Hue citadel
At 8:00 AM, depart from your hotel and head to Hue, traveling along the picturesque sea road through Da Nang. Your first stop in Da Nang will be the Cham Museum, home to the world's most important Cham cultural collections. Next, walk over to My Khe beach to enjoy views of the giant Goodness of Mercy statues at Linh Ung Pagoda. Capture photos of the fishermen on the beach, then continue your coastal drive to Hue. Pause at the top of Hai Van Pass to marvel at the breathtaking ocean vistas.
Arrive in Hue and enjoy lunch before visiting Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest and most revered pagodas in the city, dating back to 1601. It is renowned for its majestic octagon tower and the stunning view of the Perfume River.
Next, visit Hue Citadel, the most important landmark in the city and the last remnant of Vietnam's imperial era. Inspired by the fortifications of Vauban, the Citadel consists of three parts: Kinh Thanh (the Capital City), Hoang Thanh (the Imperial City), and Cam Thanh (the Forbidden City). This area contains Hue's most beautiful attractions, such as the flag tower, the South Gate, the Palace of Supreme Harmony, the Dynasty Temple area, and the settlement area.

Boat trip on Huong river, excursion to Tien Non, Thanh Tien, Sinh village, Khai Dinh King's tomb
8:00 AM: Transfer to the Huong River (or Perfume River) to embark a Royal boat trip to the villages in the East of the city. This is an opportunity to discover the local life on the both sides of this poetic river. Upon arrival in Tien Non village, disembark for a bike ride in the countryside through three villages: Tien Non, Thanh Tien and Sinh village. During the trip, you will be immersed into the daily rhythm of life in the villages.
In Tien Non village, meet the villagers working on the fields and vegetable gardens. Then, visit a family worship house in the village. Next, reach Thanh Tien village, an artificial paper flower village dating back 400 years. Besides the rural works, they make paper flowers for the New Year festival to offer their ancestors the best wishes. Visit Mr. Hieu’s family, one of the well-known artisans in the village to learn how to make paper flowers under his instruction. Keep going to Sinh village, a cradle of 400 year folklore prints in Hue. Meet Mr. Phuoc who will explain the techniques of traditional prints. You will find beautiful souvenirs on this trip. Later, take the boat back to the city.
In the afternoon, drive to Khai Dinh King's tomb, built in 11 years (1920 – 1931) on Chau Tru hill. Khai Dinh King's tomb is distinguished from other emperor's tombs by the mixture of oriental and western styles. A hundred-step climb will take you to the worship palace at the top. You will discover the amazing decoration with delightful porcelain fragments, a giant painting on the ceiling and a small royal objects museum next door. Finally, the descent offers a panoramic view to the tomb and surrounding area.
