On the way, visit a Muong village.
Continue to Thung Khe pass, where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the valley before arriving in the picturesque town of Mai Chau, located 145 km from Hanoi.

This beautiful valley is known for its harmonious landscapes, green mountain ranges, rice terraces, and White Thai ethnic villages.

Late Morning:
Arrive in Mai Hich, take a break, and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Afternoon:
Explore Mai Hich by walking along the trails and concrete roads.

The gorgeous landscapes of villages, rice fields, mountains, and streams create a perfect harmony.
Take the opportunity to interact with the friendly locals who are always eager to welcome you into their homes for a cup of tea.

Late Afternoon:
Continue trekking through rice fields and small communities to Xam Khoe, a less-touristy Thai village.

Enjoy the blend of nature's beauty and rich human culture.

At the end of the trek, your driver will pick you up and transfer you back to your accommodation.

For a more authentic experience and greater interaction with local people, we recommend staying at a homestay equipped with basic amenities: clean mattress, pillow, mosquito net, blankets, outside WC, and hot water shower.

Exploring Eo Ken, Ban Hang Villages, and Chieng Lau

Morning:
Depart from Mai Hich and head directly to Eo Ken, 30 km away, where the Muong ethnic community resides.

Walk down the slope to take in the spectacular views of Pu Luong Nature Reserve, with its rice terraces and mountains.

Visit a Muong family in Eo Ken village and experience their authentic way of life.

Continue your walk through this beautiful landscape, crossing a stream to reach Hang Village.

Midday:
Get picked up by car and travel to Pu Luong for lunch.

Afternoon:
Head to Chieng Lau, a picturesque area known for its lush rice fields and bamboo water wheels.

Enjoy a scenic walk, engage with local residents, and observe the bamboo water wheels used for irrigation.

Evening:
Return to your accommodation and stay overnight in Pu Luong.

Mid-Morning:
Start trekking on the path to Kho Muong, the most secluded village in Pu Luong, nestled in a valley surrounded by stunning limestone mountains and rice terraces.

Kho Muong is home to the Thai ethnic group. Keep your camera ready to capture the breathtaking scenery of rice terraces and meet the locals along the way.

Noon:
Enjoy lunch at a homestay in Kho Muong Village.

Afternoon:
Continue trekking through forest trails and manioc fields to reach Uoi Village, another picturesque Thai village known for its preserved thatched houses.
Proceed to Lan Ngoai Village, immersing yourself in the beautiful landscape, before transferring back to your accommodation.

Morning:

Continue your journey to Thung La Temple, a historic site dating back to the 11th century.

Mid-Morning:
Enjoy a sampan boat trip along the stream and among the limestone mountains to uncover the beauty of Van Long Nature Reserve.

If you're lucky, you might spot white monkeys and egrets on the cliffs.

Afternoon:
Visit an embroidery village and participate in an embroidery course led by local craftswoman, Mrs. Lam.

She will proudly demonstrate the techniques of her traditional craft, giving you the opportunity to practice on fabric like a true artisan.

Late Afternoon:
Travel from Ninh Binh to Hanoi, soaking in the scenic beauty of the Red River Delta.
