Depending on the season, you could even spot locals and buffalos working in the fields. Take a break to explore the orchid gardens that furnish New Year's decorations to even the largest cities. Be welcomed like family members by the inhabitants as you make your way to Ta Phin village. Discover the distinct way of life and culture of the Red Dao people, who came to live on this mountain from China. You may even take a traditional herb bath.

The Cu Chi Tunnels are an extensive underground network, spanning over 250 kilometers, where Viet Cong forces fought against American troops. The tunnels, dug over twenty years using only pickaxes and shovels, include areas you will have the chance to explore. The tour also includes a visit to the Ben Duoc Memorial Temple, a less-touristy memorial built in 1993 to honor those who died at Cu Chi.
Continue to the Cao Dai Temple, an important religious landmark in Vietnam. Caodaism is a unique Vietnamese religion combining elements of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Roman Catholicism. You might be able to participate in the midday mass.

8:00 AM: Begin your day by meeting your tour guide and driver for a transfer to Cai Be. On the way, visit the Cao Dai Temple. Once in Cai Be, take a relaxing walk to a nearby village to appreciate the Phu Chau Pagoda and get a glimpse of local village life. Continue with a boat ride to Tan Phong Island, where you can wander through fruit gardens, interact with locals, and enjoy a lunch featuring local dishes and fresh fruit in the garden.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the lively floating market and village in Long Xuyen, located on a Mekong River tributary. Observe the river-based lifestyle of the local people, then enjoy a short walk or a one-hour bike ride around Cu Lao Ong Ho Island.
Following this, travel by car to Chau Doc. Visit Chau Doc Market and take a boat tour to explore the floating fish village and Cham village. Continue to the Tra Su Reserve, an area with exceptional biodiversity and a characteristic cajuput forest, and renowned for its variety of bird species.
Return to Chau Doc for a visit to Sam Mountain (287m), home to colorful temples and pagodas like Xu Lady Pagoda, Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple, and Tay An Pagoda. You may walk to the summit or opt for a motorbike taxi (40,000 VND per person, at your expense) to enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Vietnam-Cambodia border. Overnight stay in Chau Doc.
