Welcome to Hanoi, enjoy a walking tour in the old quarter

Landing at the Noi Bai airport, you are welcomed by professional tour guide and driver at the pickup lobby. Enjoy 45-minute driving to the city center (Hanoi Old Quarter) with city's briefing information about the most visited spots, culture, traffic and cuisine....Arrive in your hotel, check in and have a rest.

Start with a small pagoda named Ba Da quietly located in a small alley - only few steps from the Hanoi Great Cathedral, built by French colonialism since the 19th century. Your tour guide also takes you to typical streets of Hanoi such as Lan Ong Street selling traditional medicine, Lo Ren Street where metal items are produced ... Stop to visit the Dong Xuan central market - the largest in Hanoi. Continue walking to the famous area for night activities and street food - Ta Hien street, where you can see the vibrant streets with a lot of the amazing local foods and drinks. Trying to taste some for an unforgettable experience.

Begin your day with a pickup by your guide and head to the Temple of Literature, an ancient sanctuary dedicated to Confucius, built during the Ly Dynasty in the 11th century. Stroll through its serene gardens, marvel at the iconic Khue Van Cac, and delve into the World Heritage "stone steles," which commemorate the names of distinguished students. Explore the Quoc Tu Giam, Vietnam’s first national university, which stands as a testament to the nation’s dedication to education.

Your next destination is the Ethnology Museum, a treasure trove of Vietnamese culture (note: closed on Mondays). Here, you’ll immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Vietnamese heritage through traditional costumes, tools, musical instruments, and the distinctive homes of various ethnic groups. Allocate about two hours to fully appreciate the museum’s exhibits.

In the afternoon, venture into the French Quarter, Hanoi's charming “little Paris” with its elegant tree-lined streets, grand government buildings, and spacious squares. Marvel at the exterior of Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, then enjoy a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens. Visit the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s former residence on stilts, where he once lived and worked. Don’t miss the unique One-Pillar Pagoda, an iconic symbol of the city. Depending on the number of travelers, this exploration will take between one to two hours.

6:45 AM - 7:15 AM: Breakfast will be served as we cruise back to Gia Luan jetty. (The exact breakfast time may be adjusted according to the day’s itinerary.)

7:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Take a tour of the Cat Ba World Biosphere. The transfer from Gia Luan to Trung Trang Cave, one of Cat Ba Island's most striking caves, takes about 30 minutes. The cave features numerous stalactites and offers valuable geological and ecological insights.

9:30 AM: Return to the main boat, check out of your cabin, and place your luggage outside.

Enjoy an early lunch at the restaurant and settle any bar bills if needed.

10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Disembark from the Peony Cruises and transfer to Tuan Chau Port.

11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Be ready at Tuan Chau Port for your departure.

A driver will pick you up and take you back to Hanoi in about two and a half hours, traveling along the new No5B highway through the Red River Delta and local villages. You’ll be dropped off at your Hanoi Old Quarter hotel.

A private driver will then transport you from your hotel lobby in the Old Quarter to Noi Bai Airport, a journey of approximately 45 minutes. Thank you for visiting our city.

From Cam Pho, embark on a relaxed stroll to Chua Cau, also known as the Japanese Covered Bridge. This iconic 17th-century bridge, built to connect the Chinese and Japanese quarters, stands as a timeless symbol of Hoi An's multicultural heritage, meticulously preserved through the centuries.

Wander through the charming streets of Hoi An to the Quan Thang Ancient House, a superb example of traditional architecture. Admire the intricate wooden carvings and sculptures crafted by artisans from Kim Bong village, offering a window into the elegant simplicity of historic Vietnamese life.

Continue your coastal drive to Hue, stopping at the top of Hai Van Pass for breathtaking views of the ocean.

Upon arriving in Hue, enjoy lunch before visiting Thien Mu Pagoda, a historic site dating back to 1601. This pagoda is renowned for its grand octagonal tower and stunning views of the Perfume River.
Your tour then takes you to the Hue Citadel, the sole remaining symbol of Vietnam’s imperial past. Inspired by the fortifications of Vauban, the Citadel is divided into three areas: Kinh Thanh (Capital City), Hoang Thanh (Imperial City), and Cam Thanh (Forbidden City). An amazing day tour to explore Perfume River by boat trip, excursion to Tien Non, Thanh Tien, Sinh village, Khai Dinh King's Tomb. Then take a Flight to Ho Chi Minh City

8:00 AM: Make your way to the Huong River, also known as the Perfume River, and board a royal boat excursion to see the everyday routine of the villages.

Meet the people of Tien Non hamlet who are tending to the food crops and farms. After that, go to the village's family worship house. Next, arrive in Thanh Tien Village, a 400-year-old fake paper flower village. In addition to their farm labor, they create paper flowers for the New Year's festivities as a way to send their ancestors their warmest regards. Go to the well-known artisan in the area, Mr. Hieu's family, and take his instruction on how to produce paper flowers. Proceed to Sinh village, the origin of Hue's 400-year-old folklore prints. Meet Mr. Phuoc, who will walk you through the methods used in traditional printing. Beautiful keepsakes await you on your journey. Later, return to the city by boat.

Drive to Khai Dinh King's mausoleum atop Chau Tru hill in the afternoon. It was constructed over the course of 11 years, from 1920 to 1931. Khai Dinh King's tomb stands apart from other emperor tombs due to its blend of western and oriental architectural elements. You may reach the worship palace at the summit by ascending a hundred steps. You will find a little royal relics museum next door, an enormous artwork on the ceiling, and an incredible ornamentation with charming porcelain fragments. At last, the descent provides a broad perspective of the tomb and surroundings.

After lunch, head to the airport in Hue to catch your aircraft to Ho Chi Minh City. When you arrive at the Tan Son Nhat airport, a knowledgeable tour guide and driver greet you in the pickup lobby. Your tour guide will provide you with an overview of the city's landmarks, as well as insights into dining, drinking, traffic, and cultural practices, during the 30-minute drive from the airport to the city center.
