From Saigon to Mekong discovery: Boat trip & biking in Ben Tre, visiting typical craft village, interact local people, garden tour, overnight in a homestay

8:00 AM: You will be picked up from your accommodation and taken to Ben Tre, a stunning area in the Mekong Delta River that is well-known for producing coconut candies.

Once you reach the Hung Vuong pier, enjoy a boat ride on the Ben Tre River to learn about daily life in the area. Continue your journey to Nhon Thanh Village by boat on a canal. You will get the chance to sample the fresh fruits at this time. Take a bike ride (or tuk tuk) down the village's little route to take in the sights of the vegetable gardens, rice fields, and coconut ranges.

In the community, elephant ear fish is eaten for lunch. You may gain a thorough understanding of local life with a little stroll. A boat excursion on the little canal, covered by untamed palm palms, comes next. Disembark Ben Tre and go to Cai Lay for an hour. (Extension: Cycle to Ngu Hiep Island, where the Mekong River's alluvium has created a lush garden, and take a one-hour stroll along the route with a local. These are unique outings in an opulent and genuine location.) If you do not want to ride a bike, you can request a motorcycle from our tour guide and ride as a passenger.

Proceed via Sa Dec to Long Xuyen, where we may see the Kien An Cung pagoda and Huynh Thuy Le's home, which is mentioned in Marguerite Duras' novel "L'Amant - the Lover." Discover the abundance of fruits, vegetables, and seafood at the Sa Dec local market. Proceed to Long Xuyen, stopping along the way to see the Cao Dai temple and a crocodile farm. Hoi An

8:00 AM: Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Hoi An’s town center. The first stop is Cam Pho, one of the town's oldest community houses. Shaped like a Chinese character, this historical gem highlights Hoi An's rich history of religious devotion, trade, and cross-cultural exchange between the local population and Chinese and Japanese merchants.

From Cam Pho, take a leisurely stroll to the iconic Chua Cau, or Japanese Covered Bridge. This 17th-century marvel, designed to connect the Chinese and Japanese quarters, has been meticulously preserved and remains a central symbol of Hoi An’s historical and architectural legacy.

Wander through the picturesque streets of Hoi An to the Quan Thang Ancient House, renowned for its authentic traditional design. Admire the intricate wooden carvings crafted by master carpenters from the renowned Kim Bong village, offering a glimpse into traditional Hoi An life and craftsmanship.

Your next stop is the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall (Fujian Assembly Hall). After exploring its beautifully detailed architecture and learning about its historical role, board a boat for a scenic trip across the Thu Bon River to Kim Bong Hamlet.

This UNESCO World Heritage site showcases 70 ancient brick and stone structures built between the 7th and 13th centuries. Your tour guide will offer explanations about the cultural, historical, and architectural significance of each ruin as you explore. The tour also includes a traditional Champa dance performance before you depart from the sanctuary.

After taking pictures of the fisherman near the shore, drive down the coast to the old capital of Hue. Stop at the summit of Hai Van Pass to take in the amazing ocean vista.

When you arrive in Hue, have lunch and then travel to Thien Mu Pagoda, which is among the city's oldest pagodas and dates back to 1601. This is the city's spiritual high point and is well-known for its imposing octagon tower and breathtaking Perfume River outlook.

Continue your tour See the most significant locations in the city, including the Hue Citadel, the only remaining reminder of Vietnam's former imperial capital. It draws inspiration from Vauban's fortifications. The city is divided into three sections: the Forbidden City (Cam Thanh), the Imperial City (Hoang Thanh), and the Capital City (Kinh Thanh). In Tien Non, engage with local farmers in their fields and vegetable gardens, and explore a traditional family worship house. Your next stop is Thanh Tien village, renowned for its 400-year tradition of crafting intricate artificial paper flowers. Visit Mr. Hieu, a skilled artisan, and discover the delicate art of paper flower making. Continue your ride to Sinh village, the birthplace of Hue’s iconic folklore prints. Here, Mr. Phuoc will demonstrate the age-old techniques of traditional printmaking. Collect some exquisite prints as unique souvenirs from your trip.

In the afternoon, return to the city by boat and embark on a drive to Khai Dinh King's tomb, perched on Chau Tru hill. This tomb, built between 1920 and 1931, features a striking blend of Eastern and Western architectural styles. Visiting Vinh Moc tunnel, Hien Luong Bridge and then travelling to Quang Binh

7:30 AM: Having breakfast at your hotel, set off for Quang Binh province, which is known for the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, which was included into the World Heritage List in 2003. Quang Binh province is the narrowest portion of Vietnam. Encompassing 85,754 hectares of exceptional geological and biological significance, the site offers an exquisite experience of karst plateaus and rainforests through exploration of its striking underground caverns and rivers, as well as the discovery of a plethora of rare species.

Make sure to visit the well-known 17th Parallel while traveling. This historical location marked the border between the Communists in Vietnam's north and the non-Communists in the south, as per the Geneva Agreement. To find out more about the unique history of this area, visit the museum, flag tower, Ben Hai River, and Hien Luong Bridge.

Proceed to the well-known Vinh Moc Tunnel. During the Vietnam War, a 1.7 km long and 10 to 23 m deep network of tunnels was created by locals over the course of two years (1965–1967). The location is proof of the Vietnamese people's bravery.

Reach the Phong Nha National Park at around 3 PM, then take a boat excursion to discover Phong Nha Cave. This well-known cave was found in 1994 and is well-known for its amazing system of stalactites and stalagmites as well as its underground river. You take the boat from the dock, which follows the Son River, to the enormous grotto gate. Take a leisurely stroll through several hidden areas, such as Celestial Palace and Bi Ki Cave, to marvel at the natural wonders.

Day 13 :
Hanoi

Visiting the city's highlights, traveling to French Quarter, Ho Chi Minh complex. Discovering the old quarter

After arriving at Hanoi railway station, you'll be welcomed by your guide and driver. Enjoy a local breakfast and some time to relax before your visit to the Temple of Literature. Built during the 11th century Ly dynasty, this historic site was dedicated to Confucius and served as an educational institution for royal children. Take a stroll through the beautiful gardens and admire Khue Van Cac, a symbol of the city. Explore the World Heritage "stone steles," which commemorate top scholars, and visit Quoc Tu Giam, Vietnam’s earliest national university.

Next, make your way to the Ethnology Museum, which is closed on Mondays but provides a thorough understanding of Vietnamese culture through a variety of ethnic groups' traditional homes, utensils, clothes, and musical instruments. It takes around two hours to thoroughly tour this fascinating museum.

You spend the day seeing Hanoi's "little Paris," the French Quarter, which has a large plaza, government buildings, and boulevards lined with trees. See Ho Chi Minh's tomb from the exterior before taking a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens to see the Presidential Palace, which is Ho Chi Minh's former residence and place of business. In the direction of the distinctive One-pillar pagoda, one of the city's icons. Depending on the number of passengers, exploring this complex takes one to two hours.

Commence at the Ba Da tiny pagoda, which is tucked away in a little lane just a little distance from the 19th-century French colonial Hanoi Great Cathedral. Your guide also shows you around some of Hanoi's characteristic streets, such Lan Ong Street, which sells traditional medicine, and Lo Ren Street, which is the location of the metal fabrication industry. Do not forget to explore Hanoi's largest central market, Dong Xuan. Walk on until you reach Ta Hien Street, a well-known destination for nightlife and street food.
