Welcome to Hanoi, enjoy a walking tour in the old quarter

Landing at the Noi Bai airport, you are welcomed by professional tour guide and driver at the pickup lobby. Enjoy 45-minute driving to the city center (Hanoi Old Quarter) with city's briefing information about the most visited spots, culture, traffic and cuisine....Arrive in your hotel, check in and have a rest.

Note: Hotel check in time at 14.00

Continue the day, tour guide will escort you walking around the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake to the Opera House, stopping at the statue of King Ly Thai To and Vietnamese Government Guest House, Sofitel Metropole Hanoi. Walk back to the Old town, visit some main streets before returning to your hotel.

Option: If your flight arrives late or you are jet lag after long flight, the walking tour will be moved to the city tour day.

Hanoi

9:00 AM: Start your day with a pickup by your tour guide, who will take you to the Temple of Literature, a historical treasure established by the Ly dynasty in the 11th century. This ancient site, dedicated to Confucius, served as a place of learning for royal offspring. Wander through its serene gardens and admire Khue Van Cac, the emblematic gateway of Hanoi. Be sure to explore the "stone steles" that commemorate the names of exceptional scholars and the Quoc Tu Giam, Vietnam’s pioneering national university.

Next, delve into Hanoi’s artistic landscape by choosing from one of the city’s prominent galleries: the Public History Exhibition Hall, Hoa Lo Prison, the Historical Center of Ethnology, or the Artistic Work Gallery. Enjoy some free time for lunch or a drink at your leisure.

In the afternoon, uncover the charm of Hanoi’s French Quarter, known for its expansive squares, stately government buildings, and leafy boulevards reminiscent of Paris. Visit the botanical gardens, stroll by the Presidential Palace, and see Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, where he once lived and worked. Marvel at the One-Pillar Pagoda, an architectural marvel and city symbol.

Depending on your group size, spend one to two hours exploring this historical complex before proceeding to the Quan Thanh Temple. Built in the 11th century during the reign of King Ly Thai To, this sacred site honors the Taoist deity Tran Vu.

Take a leisurely walk along the West Lake, enjoying the picturesque scenery, and stop by the Tran Quoc Pagoda, a 6th-century marvel from the Ly Nam De Dynasty. End your day with a captivating water puppet show, a traditional performance that dates back to the 11th century, showcasing Vietnamese culture and daily life through puppets floating on water, accompanied by live traditional music.

We'll then embark on a scenic journey to Halong City. The transfer takes approximately 2.5 - 3 hours, with a restroom stop available along the way (optional).

11:00: Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina and check in at the waiting lounge.

12:00: Board the cruise ship, enjoy welcome drinks, and receive a short briefing. Check into your room and prepare for lunch.

12:30: Indulge in a Vietnamese and international lunch while taking in the scenic beauty of the bay, passing by iconic landmarks such as the Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock Islet, and Three Coconuts Island.

14:30: Explore Halong Bay further by visiting the Pearl Farm. This is an ideal opportunity for kayaking and experiencing the timeless beauty of Ha Long Bay up close.

16:00: Explore Sung Sot Cave, also known as the Grotte des Surprising, the largest limestone cave in the area. Marvel at the stunning stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years. (Proper footwear is highly recommended, especially in wet conditions.)

17:45: Return to the boat and enjoy the bar’s Happy Hour (buy 2, get 1 free).

19:30: Delight in a deluxe dinner featuring traditional and fusion dishes prepared by our talented chefs.

11:30: Disembark at Tuan Chau Marina and bid farewell to the crew.

Next, take a leisurely walk to the iconic Chua Cau, or Japanese Covered Bridge, a symbol of Hoi An. Built in the 17th century to connect the Chinese and Japanese quarters, this architectural gem has stood the test of time and remains a picturesque highlight of the town.

Continue your exploration with a visit to the Quan Thang Ancient House, renowned for its well-preserved architecture and intricate craftsmanship by artisans from the famous Kim Bong carpentry village. This house offers a glimpse into the daily life of Hoi An’s historical families through its stunning oriental designs and detailed sculptures.
