8:00 AM: Set out from your hotel to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels, an important historical site from the Vietnam War. This vast underground complex, extending over 250 kilometers, served as a base for the Viet Cong's resistance against American troops. The tunnels, dug over twenty years using just pickaxes and shovels, are partially open for exploration. You’ll also visit the Ben Duoc Memorial Temple, built in 1993 to honor Vietnamese casualties from Cu Chi.

Then, head to the Cao Dai Temple, one of Vietnam’s most revered sites. Here, you can witness a midday mass of Caodaism, a religion that merges Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Catholicism.

Following lunch at a local eatery, return to the city center to catch your flight to Da Nang.

Hoi An

8:00 AM: Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel to explore Hoi An town center. Start with a visit to Cam Pho, an ancient communal house designed in the shape of a Chinese character representing "country," which highlights the cultural and trade connections between local and foreign traders.

Stroll leisurely to the Chua Cau, or Japanese Covered Bridge, built in the 17th century to link the Japanese and Chinese quarters. This bridge, a symbol of Hoi An, has maintained its original style for over 400 years.

Next, walk to the Quan Thang ancient house, a well-preserved example of traditional architecture and craftsmanship from the Kim Bong carpentry village, offering insight into the daily life of Hoi An’s residents.

Then, visit the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall before boarding a ferry to Kim Bong village. Enjoy the scenic boat ride along the Thu Bon River, soaking in the fresh air and beautiful landscapes.

Kim Bong village is renowned for its wood carving expertise. Once influenced by northern Vietnamese methods, local artisans adopted Chinese and Japanese techniques to create their own distinctive style. Bike around the village to see daily life and visit a carpenter’s workshop where you can purchase handcrafted wooden souvenirs.

Continue cycling on trails to Tra Nhieu village, experiencing the central Vietnamese countryside. Meet local artisans like Ms. Duoc, who weaves mats, Mr. Kha, who crafts bamboo sampan baskets, and Mr. Huynh Ri, who runs a workshop. Enjoy the rural scenery of palm groves, rice fields, and farming activities.

From Tra Nhieu, take a boat trip on the Thu Bon River to Cam Thanh village. Admire the landscapes of fishing farms and water palm trees along the way.

Upon arriving in Cam Thanh, relax at Mr. Phong’s home, where you can enjoy green tea and a foot massage with medicinal herbs from his garden. 8:00 AM: Transfer to the Huong River (Perfume River) for a royal boat ride exploring the villages to the east of the city. This boat trip offers a glimpse into daily life along the riverbanks. When you reach Tien Non village, disembark for a bike ride through Tien Non, Thanh Tien, and Sinh villages.

In Tien Non village, observe the villagers working in fields and vegetable gardens, and visit a local family’s worship house. Continue to Thanh Tien village, renowned for its 400-year history of crafting paper flowers. Visit Mr. Hieu’s family, a well-known artisan, and learn about making paper flowers. Next, head to Sinh village, known for its traditional folklore prints. Mr. Phuoc will demonstrate these techniques, and you can find beautiful prints to take home. Return to the city by boat.

In the afternoon, visit Khai Dinh’s tomb, which took 11 years to complete (1920 – 1931) and is located on Chau Tru Hill. This tomb is notable for its blend of Eastern and Western styles. Climb the hundred steps to the top to view the richly decorated worship palace, featuring intricate porcelain mosaics, a grand ceiling mural, and a small museum. Enjoy the sweeping views of the tomb and its surroundings as you descend.

Day 11 :

Enjoy a local breakfast and some downtime before heading to the Temple of Literature, a historical site established in the 11th century during the Ly dynasty. This temple was dedicated to Confucius and served as an educational institution for royal children. Walk through the serene gardens and visit Khue Van Cac, a symbol of Hanoi. Explore the UNESCO-listed "stone steles" honoring distinguished students and visit Quoc Tu Giam, Vietnam's first national university.

11:30 - 11:45 AM: Arrive at Ha Long International Cruise Port's waiting lounge. Relax as the captain completes the registration. Then transfer by tender to the cruise boat.

12:00 - 12:15 PM: Upon boarding, enjoy a welcome drink and receive a safety briefing about the cruise activities before checking into your cabin.

1:00 PM: Enjoy a sumptuous Vietnamese set menu lunch while cruising further into Bai Tu Long Bay.

3:00 PM: Arrive at Cap La Island for an afternoon of kayaking through beautiful karst formations and breathtaking scenery. You can also swim and relax during this time.

5:40 PM: Return to the boat for a Sunset Party as we head to our overnight anchorage. Participate in a cooking demonstration or fruit and vegetable carving session.
