This 6 days 5 nights adventure journey rides the legendary Ha Giang Loop — Vietnam's most dramatic mountain road, roughly 300 km north of Hanoi on the Chinese border. The route links Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Lung Cu Flag Tower, Dong Van Old Town, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Nho Que River, Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nguom Ngao Cave and Ba Be Lake across the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, a landscape of stone forests, deep canyons and switchback passes.

Ha Giang is at its best in September–November (golden rice harvest and clear skies) and again from late February to April (plum and buckwheat blossom); summer months can bring heavy rain and landslides. Pack warm layers — the plateau is markedly cooler than Hanoi and nights can be cold. Mountain roads, boat trips and trekking are weather dependent and may be modified for safety.
